About the Project
Wanted 67 is a driving game about escaping a police pursuit along Route 67 while trying to reach Mexico. The player takes on the role of a driver who is on the run after committing a crime and must make their way towards the border. The route becomes a race against the pursuing police, with the player needing to maintain control of their car while reacting to the approaching threat.
The main challenge comes from the police vehicles following the player. Their objective is to crash into the player's car and bring the escape to an end by any means necessary. This creates constant pressure during the drive, as simply moving forwards is not enough to stay ahead.
To survive the pursuit, the player steers using a joystick and must carefully position the car on the road. The player can use positioning to cut off the police before they get close, making control and timing important parts of the gameplay.
The game focuses on a straightforward chase scenario in which the player must balance driving along the route with avoiding or obstructing the pursuing vehicles. Success depends on steering carefully, anticipating the police's approach and preventing them from reaching the player's car before the escape can be completed.
