Dual Study Programme
Dual study programmes at h_da
The dual study programmes at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences are characterised by the close integration of the professional world and academic study. For dual students, this means a stronger focus on practical experience during their academic training, as well as financial independence.
The Online Communication and Online Journalism study programmes can be studied on a cooperative basis. In these dual study programmes, students alternate between modules at the university, practical phases and working within a company.
What are the advantages?
- It is possible to switch to a dual study programme up to the third semester (Bachelor's) or in the first semester (Master's), with the study programme being supplemented by practical phases and a student contract.
- Practical phases are supervised by the university, whilst projects and examination requirements are coordinated and assessed in conjunction with the work placement partner.
- Kick-off and review dates provide opportunities for discussion and reflection on the dual role, during which any additional requirements set by the work placement partner are addressed.
- The Dual Study Centre supports dual students from the start to the end of their studies and addresses their specific needs.
