Opus Klassik for Prof. Moritz Bergfeld

The recording of Verdi’s *Giovanna d’Arco*, produced by Prof. Moritz Bergfeld and featuring the Cappella Aquileia under Marcus Bosch, has won this year’s Opus Klassik award.

As part of the Heidenheim Opera Festival, Markus Bosch recorded Verdi’s rarely performed opera *Giovanna d’Arco* for the Coveillo label. It is a musical gem from Verdi’s early period. Verdi himself wrote of it: “Without exception and without doubt, it is the best of my operas.” Together with his business partner Olaf Mielke, this is already the third Opus Klassik award for Moritz Bergfeld.
