Short bio

Florian Meißner is Professor of Digital Publishing at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. He teaches in the bachelor's degree programmes in Online Journalism and Online Communication and in the master's degree programme in Media, Technology and Society. In addition to journalism and digital media, his research focuses primarily on risk and crisis communication. He currently heads the EU-funded research network "AlertHub" on warning communication in the event of disasters and is a board member of the International Crisis and Risk Communication Research Association (ICRCA).
