The Text+ consortium is dedicated to establishing a sustainable, national research data infrastructure for the humanities and related language- and text-based disciplines. Its work focuses on three key data domains: collections, lexical resources and editions.
Project background
These domains have a long tradition of research and well-established methodological approaches. This gives rise to both specific requirements and cross-disciplinary practices for the creation, curation and management of digital research data. Text+ is developing strategies to integrate these practices into a shared infrastructure based on established standards.
A key element is the implementation of the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and the CARE principles (Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, Ethics). The aim is to achieve the effective and ethically responsible integration of data, tools and services.
Objective
The project aims to ensure the long-term preservation and usability of language- and text-based research data. The infrastructure developed is intended to promote both academic exchange within the participating disciplines and to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration – within a digital research environment that is transparent, open and interoperable.
