United – spot on!

Transferproject

United – spot on!

The video workshop project “Verein(t) – spot on!”, organised by KulturRegion FrankfurtRheinMain in collaboration with Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, enables associations from a wide range of sectors to create short video portraits about themselves and the things that bring them together. This project in political and cultural education goes beyond mere self-promotion and addresses the central social question “What unites us?” on several levels.

KulturRegion FrankfurtRheinMain, together with the local authorities and districts, and in cooperation with Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, is continuing the video workshop project ‘Verein(t) – spot on!’. It offers clubs and associations from a wide range of sectors the opportunity to be involved in the creation of a short video portrait about themselves and what unites them.

“What unites us?”

This is not only a key question for our contemporary society, characterised by individualisation, pluralisation and a declining capacity for dialogue. The question also lies at the heart of “Verein(t) – spot on!”, a project focusing on political and cultural education within the KulturRegion. The question arises on several levels: What unites us as a club? How do we involve people from all walks of life? What can we achieve together? What, in turn, connects us with other clubs in the region? What is our role as a club in society, and what do we contribute to social cohesion, both within our local communities and beyond? The project thus aims far beyond the self-promotion of individual associations. It is about looking at democratic society as a whole, in which associations and voluntary work represent an essential pillar.
