Margot Madina wins the Best Paper Award
Margot Medina was awarded the Best Paper Award by the Young Researchers Consortium (YRC).
The YRC organises a workshop for early-career researchers in the field of assistive technology and web accessibility, amongst other areas. The workshop forms an integral part of the international Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs (ICCHP).
During this two-day YRC workshop, young researchers are given the opportunity to present their work, receive feedback from experts and build a network with other people in this field of research.
During this year’s workshop, eleven young researchers from seven countries presented their work, the latest research findings and their future plans. Feedback was provided on various aspects of the presented work, including the methodology used, the planning and the presentation.
During the event, Margot Medina was also awarded the prize for the best presentation and the best article for her outstanding presentation and her academic publication entitled ‘Easy-to-Read Language: Development of Linguistic Resources and Automatic Text Adaptation Tools’.
The ikum would like to congratulate her once again on this award.
