In collaboration with the alumni production company Fourmat Film GmbH, Niklas Bauer and Marie Marxmeier produced their graduation film during the winter semester of 2019/20 at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. The film was funded by Hessenfilm und Medien through the Hochschulabschlussförderung scheme and also supported by kulturMut Rhein-Main.
Director and screenwriter Niklas Bauer’s aim with the film is to bring the autistic perspective on the world to life. In doing so, he engages with Daan on an equal footing. At the same time, the film portrays a complex sibling relationship.
