Shared.
Shared. It reveals what remains when we share.

Memories often slip away unnoticed
Our memories are what bind us together – and yet many of them remain hidden, unspoken, lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Social groups rarely share or recognise the full depth of their stories. There is often a lack of space and time to consciously look back, listen and understand the connections between our shared memories. What is left unsaid remains invisible – and is eventually lost. Unfortunately.
Geteilt. creates space – for time, understanding and depth
Through the Ambient Intelligence System,Geteilt. creates an atmospheric space in which memories are consciously recounted, collected and linked together. They can be passed on to those who come after us.
It transforms spoken words into visual texts, connections into subtle forms, and emotions into sound and movement. This creates a shared moment that is not merely documented but experienced – and makes visible what might otherwise have remained unspoken. For stronger connections, for greater understanding, for a growing collective memory.
How does Geteilt. come into play here?
Interaction with Geteilt. takes place between the participants and the floor projection. Everyone begins by sharing a personal memory and reflecting on it together with the others. The aim is always to foster a sense of connection and understanding – not a monologue, but a genuine conversation in which both sides are visible and engage with one another.
The system provides subtle support: it offers gentle prompts, summarises the memories in text form, links the participants’ contributions and encourages the group to think and feel more deeply. The participants consciously focus their attention on one another, listen, ask questions and treat one another with respect, openness and empathy.
Over the course of the session, a ‘collective memory’ emerges – an interwoven tapestry of sentences and moments that weaves all of the memories into a shared picture.
In the concluding reflection phase, the participants look back on their shared collective memory, discuss the connections and discover a common thread within it – one that runs through their own and shared memories and tangibly deepens their sense of belonging and understanding.
In the end, the group decides together whether the shared memories should be preserved and passed on – to themselves, but also to those who come after them. In doing so, they decide collectively to pass them on with a gesture of the arm – it is an act that can only be performed together.
Can you try out Geteilt.?
The product encompasses many aspects of memory and sharing. For the prototype, the focus was on three key elements: the speech-to-text function, the visual connection on the floor, and shared transmission via gesture.
But how?
Two people sit in a circle and activate the installation. An initial prompt invites them to share. After a pause in the narrative, the system summarises the person’s memory and projects it visibly in front of them. The second person then tells their story.
The thoughts of both begin to connect visually. A final prompt encourages them: “Memories remain. Reach for them and pass them on — to yourselves and to those who follow.” With a shared gesture, the two save their memories and receive the confirmation: “What you have shared has been saved – it remains for you and for those yet to come.”
And so the encounter ends – with a moment that endures.
