The binaural 3D audio composition, which uses the representation of the heard waveform as a visual component, emphasises the relationship between sound and image. This illustrates the fundamental idea that the two media – audio and video – are now almost impossible to separate. The listener sees what they hear. Through additive synthesis, frequency modulation and beat effects, soundscapes are created which are displayed on an oscilloscope. Depending on the phase relationship and correlation or decoupling, different figures emerge, the size of which is influenced by the audio level. The resulting composition was realised in Ambisonics and rendered for binaural playback, taking into account the dramaturgical loudness.
The visual display can be transferred to any oscilloscope of your choice and reproduced there. It is recommended that you listen to the output via headphones.
