A controller that enables you to check the quality of voice recordings

to improve your skills with the help of an interactive tutorial.

A study project by Daniel Pohl, Joel Appler, Lukas Schimmelpfennig, Laura Seltsam and Stella Ananiadi, 3rd semester, 2021
Supervising professors: Prof. Dr Kyrill Fischer, Prof. Thorsten Greiner

The enVoicer is a controller that makes it possible to improve the quality of, for example, voice recordings in a simple way. In addition, the built-in tutorial provides essential information on voice editing, how to use processing tools, and theoretical knowledge about the human voice.

The tutorial, which is integrated into the software, immediately provides an overview of voice recording and editing. Among other things, it explains gender-specific differences in frequency responses and interactively illustrates individual frequency ranges of the voice.

The hardware controls parameters of various processing tools such as EQ, compressor, de-esser and noise reduction, whilst you can switch between these as you wish within the software. The LEDs light up once a tool has been applied, indicating the progress of the process.

More and more people are looking for a way to help themselves with voice recordings in their work, independently and without too much effort or research: whether it’s a young person who wants to create videos for YouTube, a creative mind keen to bring their radio drama ideas to life, or people working from home who want to improve the quality of their business meetings via video conferencing.

enVoicer makes it easy to get started with audio editing and is ideal for handling all these situations.
