The klopfbox bridges the gap between electronic music production and organic, intuitive sound generation. A variety of sound sources on the box, along with a comprehensive sequencer, will spark your creativity. Natural sounds generated directly with your hands, combined with the benefits of digital audio processing. Using contact microphones and our software, sounds created with the klopfbox can be fed into your production workflow.
The box’s entire output is controlled directly via the device’s user interface. Each of the four recording tracks is assigned its own encoder; a mute button on each track makes selection easier, and four additional transport buttons give you full control over your sound at all times.
All about the Klopfbox invites you to make it sing. Kalimba tongues made of carbon fibre, an iron rod for a metallic sound, or a tension spring for ethereal reverb. No frills get in the way of your creative flow – what you see is what you get!
Via a USB cable, the MIDI data you control is read by our Max/MSP patch and shapes the sound entirely to your taste. Effects such as reverb, delay, chorus or a resonator are just waiting to be fed with the crisp percussive sounds or metallic pads of the klopfbox.
In the quest for new sound sources and originality, the klopfbox guarantees a unique sound. Thanks to its handcrafted sound modules, the klopfbox’s sound stands out from that of more conventional sound generators, whether in a live setting or in a production environment.
In a production environment dominated by electronic sounds, the klopfbox manages to stand out from the crowd with its organic and impulsive-sounding tones.
