What is it and how does it work?
ReWurst continuously stores the incoming audio signal in a buffer of a size that can be selected according to musical requirements.
There are two modes:
– ‘Reverse’ mode
– ‘Scratch’ mode
In ‘Reverse’ mode, pressing the pedal for the first time causes the stored audio signal to be played back backwards in a loop. The position of the pedal then determines the speed of the reverse playback.
In ‘Scratch’ mode, the pedal position controls the playback, much like the needle on a turntable used to do (in this case, the buffer acts as the record).
As soon as the pedal is returned to its original position, regardless of the mode, playback of the buffer stops and the buffer is then continuously rewritten until the pedal is operated again.
How can I use it?
The product video shows an example of how to use ReWurst.
You can easily use ReWurst as a guitar effects pedal to create new sounds that you might previously have thought impossible.
Of course, ReWurst isn’t just for use as a guitar effects pedal; you can also connect other devices capable of playing back audio.
Whether you use ReWurst rhythmically, ‘harmonically’ or just for fun is entirely up to you. There are no limits to your imagination and creativity.
ReWurst is set to become the top dog among reverse effects pedals, and once you’ve shifted into reverse, there are no limits!
