The Sound of Family

This art installation aims to recreate the cosiness of the family kitchen – a setting familiar to all for its warmth, and one that evokes nostalgia for anyone who is far from it.

Three multi-screen video projections depict a digital kitchen space, whilst a central hob with adjustable dials invites visitors to influence the audiovisual environment, reimagining household noises—from frying eggs to washing vegetables—as elements of nature.

By interacting with MIDI touch sensors and conductive objects, participants generate sounds, creating a dynamic interplay between everyday actions and poetic resonance.
