Media, Technology & Society

The study programme

Digital media are having an ever-greater impact on society. Companies and organisations need to keep pace with the latest trends whilst striving to look beyond the next hype cycle. Against this backdrop, we are seeing a growing demand for experts at the interface of media, technology and society.

At MTS, we aim to provide expertise in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of new forms of communication and media. Drawing on media theory and empirical research, we explore innovative technologies and media formats, as well as the ethical dimensions of digitalisation and a sustainable society.

The English-language programme is offered in two formats: a three-semester programme for graduates of relevant seven-semester Bachelor's programmes, and a four-semester programme for those from six-semester Bachelor's programmes. This is preceded by a practical semester.
