Is what’s on the front page all that matters? Far from it! In the fast-paced world of media, topics that actually deserve more attention often fall by the wayside. From glacier retreat and abortion to homophobia in men’s football – in our student editorial team, we, as the ‘Ghosted News’ team, discussed these and many other topics, carried out research and ultimately produced a wide range of different articles.
Above all, it was important to us to stay close to our audience and to deliver accessible, easy-to-understand content. In doing so, we, as media professionals, have been able to reflect on our choice of topics and develop an eye for stories that might not make it onto every front page.
