Research data management
The importance of digital research data is constantly increasing due to the growing volume and variety of data. Research data is a specialised knowledge resource that ensures the traceability of research results and leads to new insights through re-use. In line with good scientific practice, research data must be preserved in an appropriate manner throughout all phases of the data lifecycle and must be accessible to researchers and reproducible. Responsible research data management across the entire data lifecycle is therefore essential and is increasingly a prerequisite for securing third-party funding.
Various infrastructures and opportunities are required to support researchers in managing their digital research data. To this end, our team is actively committed to establishing and further developing infrastructures, standards and services in research data management. Together with partner institutions, we are working to make data accessible, reusable and FAIR. Below, we present a selection of our services and the projects currently underway.
